Marist School is NCR Chess Champion!

Marist School topped the 2010 Milo Little Olympics NCR Elimination Games Chess tournament, High School Boys Division held August 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2010 at the Marikina Sports Park. The Marist School chess squad topped a field of 32 high school boys teams, including powerhouse La Immaculada Concepcion School.

The Milo NCR Chess Tournament had four divisions:

  • Elementary School Boys Division: Champion: La Immaculada Concepcion School
  • Elementary School Girls Division: Champion: La Immaculada Concepcion School
  • High School Boys Division: Champion: Marist School
  • High School Girld Division: Champion: La Immaculada Concepcion School

The victory gives Marist School the right to represent the National Capital Region in the 2nd National Milo Little Olympics on October 14 - 17, 2010 at Cagayan de Oro, to compete against the regional representatives of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The Marist School Chess Team, ably coached by National Master Nelson Villanueva is composed of:

  • Luke Prudente
